Free subscription calculator
What do your subscriptions really cost?
List every subscription you pay for and see the monthly, yearly, and ten-year total. Most people are surprised by the last number.
What they cost you
$0 a year
Why small subscriptions add up so fast
A $12 subscription feels like nothing because you only ever see it one month at a time. Multiply it by twelve and it is $144 a year. Hold five or six of them and you are spending a holiday's worth of money on things you may not open every week.
This calculator turns every subscription into its yearly and ten-year cost, so you can judge each one on the real number. Annual plans are included at their yearly price, which is where forgotten renewals tend to hide.
How to find the subscriptions you forgot
Most people undercount their subscriptions because some bill yearly, some go through Apple or Google, and some sit on a card they rarely check.
Scan 12 months of statements
Annual renewals only show up once a year, so a single month misses them.
Check app store subscriptions
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions.
Search your email
Look for words like "receipt", "renewal", "trial", and "your plan".
Let Sprout do it
Connect your accounts read-only and ask Sprout "what subscriptions am I paying for?" to see every repeating charge with its yearly cost.
Keep, pause, or cancel?
For each line, ask one question: would you sign up for this today at this price? If the answer is no, cancel it with the merchant or in your app store settings. If you use it in seasons, pause or switch to a monthly plan you can stop.
Price increases deserve a second look too. A service that was worth $9.99 might not be worth $15.99. Sprout flags recurring charges whose price changed so you notice before the next renewal. The complete subscription guide walks through cancelling safely.
Common questions
Straight answers.
How do I calculate the yearly cost of a subscription?
Multiply the price by how many times it bills per year: monthly by 12, weekly by 52, quarterly by 4. A yearly plan is already its annual cost. The calculator does this for every line at once.
How many subscriptions does the average person have?
Estimates vary widely by survey, so the more useful number is your own. Add every recurring charge you can find here, or let Sprout detect them from your connected accounts.
Does this calculator store what I type?
No. It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
Can Sprout cancel subscriptions for me?
No. Sprout is read-only, so it finds and totals your recurring charges but never acts on your accounts. You cancel with the merchant or in your Apple or Google subscription settings.
What counts as a subscription?
Anything that charges you on a repeating schedule: streaming, apps, software, memberships, delivery passes, insurance add-ons, and annual renewals like domains or warranties.
