Before you connect anything.
Can Sprout spend my money?
No. The connection Sprout requests is read-only, so payments, transfers, and card changes are not available to it. Ask Sprout to pay a bill and it will tell you it cannot.
Who sees my bank login?
Only your bank. Stripe Financial Connections handles the sign-in inside its own flow and hands Sprout an authorized connection, never your password.
Which banks work?
Any institution supported by Stripe Financial Connections, which covers most major US banks, credit unions, and card issuers. If yours is missing, tell us and we will pass it on.
Does an AI read my transactions?
Only when you allow it, and only the records needed for the question you asked. You can withdraw that permission at any time in More, and no further AI request will run until you grant it again.
